It's my birthday and I'll do what I want too!

This will be me on Saturday. Having a bunch of friends over for drinks and food. For now I am off to have some sushi, do a little shopping with some birthday money and then a special dinner with my man at my favourite restaurant, Two Chefs and a Table! So excited!!

Jean Paul Gaultier and Diet Coke

There are tons of collaborations with fashion designers and the rest of the consumer world. One of the stranger ones I have seen recently is between Jean Paul Gaultier and Diet Coke. Something you don't know about me is that I NEVER drink diet coke. I have read too many articles about aspartame and the effects it has one your body to want to drink it. I feel that having one Coke and then drinking water for the rest of the day is better than drinking diet all day long. That being said these mini movies with Jean Paul and some puppets are amazing. Kinda creepy but so cool. I hope he makes more episodes!

What do you guys think of these? While I was looking for them on Google I notice a few articles bashing them for exploiting women and being extremely creepy. I, personally, think that people need to chill. Enjoy them for the creative commercial that they are. So different than the normal boring ones we see on tv everyday. Also it JEAN PAUL! This what he does! Nothing is completely normal with him and people should be ready for anything he brings to the table. I think they are fantastic!

The Start of Birthday Week.

It is my birthday this Wednesday but I feel that everyone should at least celebrate for a whole week! So this Saturday my man and I got up early and drove to Whistler for a sunshine filled day of skiing and snowboarding. It was warm and a wonderful way to spend a sunny Saturday.

Sunday I had to work which was hard since it was again beautiful and sunshiny out! Mike sent me a picture of Rusty on our patio enjoying a sunbeam and people watching.

After work we headed over to Mike's parents for Sunday dinner. I had no idea that his mom had gotten me a cake and a second gift! They already gave me a Kindle which I am so excited to fill with books! I also received a wonderful coffee table book, "Portraits of Ten Women who Changed Fashion". It has all the classic in it.

Can't wait to see what the rest of Birthday Week brings!

Red-y or not, here I come!

Vancouver's weather has been all over the map! Rain, snow, sun and wind, sometimes all in the course of one day. Monday was no different and I'm sick of it so to combat the grey I wore red! Lots of it!

Sometimes you have to show the weather whose boss and for me that means a skirt even if it's raining. I like saying you can't stop my style Mother Nature! What do you do to stop the rainy time blues?

Sicker than a dog...

Sorry I have been out of touch for the last little bit. I have been laid up on my couch sick as can be. My world has been revolving around naps, tea and television. Has anyone else watched "House of Lies"? It is really good and thanks to my illness I am completely caught up on the series.

Mostly I have been hanging out and napping with Rusty. Seriously a good snuggle from a pet or loved one makes you feel soooo much better.
